Simón Bolívar

Thousands of books have been written on the Liberator of the Americas. Footnote. This one, by Marie Arana,  may be the best. Read the NY Times book review. Bolívar spent a few months in Philadelphia in 1807, prior to returning to Venezuela from Europe.
