Drones

Colombia leads Latin America in producing drone technology. These pilotless aircraft are employed to gather intelligence about drug trafficking and terrorism within the country’s enormous and difficult geography, as well as to protect infrastructure sites. Other Latin American countries are developing drones. The question of whether weaponized drones will be made remains open.
