Education in Brazil

Shannon  O’Neill of the Council on Foreign Relations examines the quality and funding for Brazil’s public education, notably the universities. The government funds universities at a high rate, thus favoring well to do students who perform better on entrance examinations. Thus the quality of secondary and primary education is setting economic growth back.
