Mr. Dario Bellot, was one of three individuals nominated for the CFO of the Year Award 2012 in Philadelphia. This award is given yearly by the Philadelphia Business Journal in cooperation with the Business School of Drexel University. Mr. Bellot was selected in recognition of his achievements at Congreso de Latinos Unidos where he is Vice President of Finance and Administration and CFO.
Over the last three years, Congreso has become the largest Hispanic community services organization in Philadelphia and has gained national recognition for its innovative programs. Mr. Bellot has been responsible for creating a new financial structure that has allowed Congreso to double the size of its facilities. In September 2012, a Charter School that operates under the auspices of Congreso, will open up a new, state-of-the-art building at the north Philadelphia Congreso campus.
A native of Argentina, Mr. Bellot earned Bachelor of Science and Master’s degrees in Business Administration from Universidad de la Empresa in Buenos Aires. Prior to joining Congreso, Mr. Bellot worked for the Wharton School of Business, Brystol Myers, and Dow Chemical. He is actively involved in many civic organizations in Philadelphia among which is the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Pan American Association as Treasurer and CFO.
We congratulate Mr. Bellot for the honor he received.
