
Dr. Daniel Schidlow was named Dean of the College of Medicine at Drexel University. He had served as Interim Dean since November 2011. He also served as the physician-in-chief at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.
Dr. Schidlow was born in Chile and received his undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Chile. He completed his residence at the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in New York and came to the Philadelphia area as a professor of pediatrics at Temple University School of Medicine. Dr. Schidlow joined the College of Medicine of Drexel University in 1994 and served as a professor of pediatrics, pharmacology and physiology, and chair of the department of pediatrics. He has received many prestigious awards for his contributions to medicine and education, among tem the Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching in 2010.
The Pan American Association congratulates Dr. Schidlow and wishes him continued success on his new position.
