Governing Party Loses in Primary Polling

Cristina Fernández has an uphill struggle ahead of mid-term elections

Argentina’s governing party lost support in primaries that will shape the fall parliamentary elections. Moreover, the unexpected results may deprive President Kirchner of the ability to change the constitution to run for a third term. Her increasing unpopularity adds to the challenge.
