We support and honor members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Philadelphia. The Consular Corps Association of Philadelphia is the oldest, and one of the most active associations of diplomats in the United States. One current initiative is to champion the establishment of a "Consul House", to provide a focus for globalization activities in the Philadelphia area, consisting of trade, academic, social and cultural activities, all supported in a single, multi-purpose facility.
The Annual Carranza Memorial ceremonies in Mount Holly, N.J. honoring the memory of aviation pioneer Captain Emilio Carranza of the Mexican Air Force, a contemporary of Charles Lindbergh, who died while attempting to set a record for air travel between New York and Mexico City.
We highlight the accomplishments of notable individuals in the region, who have made significant contributions to Panamericanismo. Honorees have generally been natives of the Delaware Valley who have distinguished themselves in representing their community, or the greater interests of the nations of the Western Hemisphere, through community or national service.
