Brazil Tackles Malnutrition

Brazil has pioneered in the area of poverty reduction. Through its very effective bolsa familia program millions of people have left poverty behind. The program has attracted worldwide attention and adaptations. A new effort tackles child malnutrition by providing surplus milk donated by mothers. There are some 200 human milk banks throughout Brazil. They are creating a “nutritional revolution.”
