Ecological Disaster

Nicaraguan Canal

The canal intended to cut across Nicaragua’s southern border would be an ecological disaster, according to scientists. Moreover, the Chinese , who would build it, are not known for ecological sensitivity. It remains to be seen if it will ever be built, given also the competition from the Panama Canal.
