Latin American Universities Rank low

University Classification

According to an annual ranking of the leading 500 universities in the world put out  by a university in Shanghai, 17 of the top 20 universities are in  the US. From Latin America, the University of Sao Paulo  is ranked 147, the Autonomous University of Mexico is 164, and the University of Buenos Aires is 176. Ranking is based on many variables, including the quantity and quality of research and faculty credentials.
