85th Annual Meeting and William J. Clothier II Award

The Pan American Association of Philadelphia is excited to announce that it will hold its 85th Annual Meeting and William J. Clothier II Memorial Award  on October 29, 2025 at the Union League of Philadelphia.

We are pleased to announce that H. E. Esteban Moctezuma Barragán, Ambassador of Mexico to the United States,  will be our Keynote Speaker.

Mexico occupies a position of singular prominence in Latin America and is an indispensable partner of the United States. Our nations are bound by deep and longstanding shared interests—trade and supply chains, energy and manufacturing, migration and human mobility, shared security challenges, and cultural connections that stretch across generations and borders.

Since its founding in 1940, the Association has been dedicated to promoting cultural, educational and economic activities to increase understanding and cooperation among the peoples of the Americas. The Association is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to advancing Pan-Americanism in the Greater Philadelphia region. Today, the region is home to more than 500,000 residents who trace their roots to Latin America, and the need for greater cultural understanding expressed by our founders has become even more relevant.

We expect an audience of more than 200 policymakers and leaders from business, cultural and academic institutions in the Greater Philadelphia region with an interest in Pan-Americanism. The event will begin at 11:30 AM with a networking reception followed by lunch at 12:00 PM.

Ambassador Moctezuma has been a columnist for several Mexican newspapers and has written several books..
